Coomassie blue staining solution

• 200 ml acetic acid
  
• 1800 ml H₂O
  
• 0.5 g Coomassie blue G-250
  

mix 1 hour and filter through Whatman paper, store at room temperture indefinitely

Stain gels until uniformly blue. Destain with sequential 10% acetic acid rinses.
